Mercedes car falls off a bridge into a ravine in Gadabay: five people injured - VIDEO
A serious traffic accident occurred in Azerbaijan's Gadabay district.
On a section of the Gadabay – Shamkir highway, a Mercedes passenger car lost control, veered off the roadway, overturned off a bridge and fell into a ravine.
As a result of the accident, five people sustained various injuries — young men aged between 16 and 20: Elvir Fataliyev (born in 2004), Rufan Mammadov (born in 2006), Musa Nuruzade (born in 2006), Muhammed Mammadov (born in 2007) and Ziya Nuriyev (born in 2008).
The Association for the Management of Medical Territorial Units (TƏBİB) commented on the current condition of the injured. According to the agency, on August 28 at around 20:20, all five men with injuries of varying severity were promptly hospitalized in the emergency medical care department of the Gadabay Central District Hospital.
After primary emergency assistance was provided, doctors decided to evacuate those involved in the accident to the Abbas Sahhat Hospital at the Ganja City United Hospital for specialized treatment.
At the moment, four of the injured, after receiving the necessary medical care, have already been discharged for outpatient treatment, and doctors assess their condition as satisfactory. One more young man remains in the specialized inpatient department, and his condition is assessed as moderately severe.
Officers of the Main Department of the State Traffic Police immediately arrived at the scene of the incident. An investigation is under way into the incident and to establish the reasons for the loss of control over the vehicle.
