SCO member states to receive unified partner status
Member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will receive a unified partner status, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
"A unified status of SCO partners is being introduced, which will be granted to all current observer states and dialogue partners of the organization," the head of state said at the SCO Council of Heads of State.
According to him, such a decision will help optimize and expand mutually beneficial cooperation between the SCO and countries showing interest in it.
Thus, according to the Russian president, among the pressing practical tasks facing the SCO is the further strengthening of ties between the member states. This, among other things, contributes to the steady dynamics of socio-economic growth and the improvement of the population's well-being. In addition, mutual trade turnover between Russia and the SCO countries is growing from year to year.
