The U.S. and Armenia conducted a joint visit to Syunik as part of the implementation of TRIPP

Representatives of Armenia and the United States made a joint visit to the Syunik region, where construction of the Armenian section of the road is continuing as part of the Trump Route (TRIPP) project.

This was reported by TRIPP Armenia on Facebook.

According to the information, the meeting was attended by representatives of Armenia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, U.S. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim David Allen, and Senior Adviser of the State Department's Office of Policy Planning Jonathan Askonas.

As part of the visit, representatives of the two countries held meetings with representatives of local self-government bodies and communities to discuss TRIPP's potential for strengthening regional interconnectedness and creating new economic opportunities.

"This visit reflects the shared commitment of Armenia and the United States to ensuring peace, prosperity, and interconnectedness in the South Caucasus," the statement notes.

According to the enterprise, the parties will also visit sections along the TRIPP route in the Meghri area.
