ANAMA: No technology can replace a deminer

Advanced technologies are used in demining operations in Azerbaijan, but the human factor still remains of key importance.

According to Report, this was stated by the Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan Mine Action Agency (ANAMA), Vugar Suleymanov, at the 4th International Conference on Mine Action.

According to him, many new technologies are still at the research stage.

"There is still no technology in the world that could replace humans. Therefore, despite the use of new technologies, the human factor continues to play a key role in the demining process," Suleymanov noted.
