Armenia must strengthen mutual trust with its neighbors – Vahagn Khachaturyan

Armenia must strengthen mutual trust with its neighbors, resolve issues without mediators — as far as possible — and implement joint regional programs.

In this way, it will become possible to establish lasting peace in the region.

This was stated by Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan.

"When I look at what may happen in our region in the future, if no additional problems arise and we try to resolve our issues with our neighbors on our own, without mediation, I am confident that we will succeed no matter what," Khachaturyan said.

According to him, a new situation has developed in the region, and there are the necessary opportunities, desire, and readiness for peace and cooperation.

"We ourselves must be able to build mutual trust with our neighbors and implement joint programs. I mean both TRIPP and, in the future, energy, as well as, why not, other joint programs that will be useful not only for our individual countries but for the entire region," the president noted.
