England champion Vardy signs contract with Burnley until the end of the season

English soccer club Burnley has announced the signing of forward Jamie Vardy.

The agreement with the 39-year-old forward runs until the end of the season.

Last season, Vardy played in Italy for Cremonese, scoring 7 goals in 29 Serie A matches.

Before that, he played for many years for Leicester, with whom he won the English championship, the FA Cup, and the Community Shield.

Burnley plays in the Championship, the second-strongest division of English soccer.
