Heavy rains expected in Baku, hail and snow forecast in the regions
In Baku and on the Absheron Peninsula, rain is expected in places from midday on September 7 until the morning of September 8, with brief downpours and thunderstorms in some areas.
As 1news.az reports, this was stated in the weather forecast of the National Hydrometeorology Service.
According to the information, precipitation will also fall in the country's regions from the evening of September 6 until midday on September 8.
Intense downpours with thunderstorms and hail are expected in places; on the night of September 8, precipitation will intensify, and snow will fall in the high mountains.
"Due to the expected precipitation, a rise in water levels in rivers and short-term mudflows on some mountain rivers are not ruled out," the forecasters added.
