Rubio: Consultations on Ukraine were substantive

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio described the consultations held in Moscow and Kyiv on ending the Russian-Ukrainian conflict as substantive.

According to him, he does not want to be “overly optimistic,” but he is also not pessimistic about the prospects for a settlement.

Rubio believes that within the next few weeks a plan for further steps toward settling the conflict could be developed. He also allows for the resumption of trilateral talks in the Russia—Ukraine—U.S. format.
