Trump did not oppose Britain's sanctions against Israel
British Prime Minister Andy Burnham informed U.S. President Donald Trump of London's decision to impose sanctions against Israeli settlements in the West Bank.

It is noted that American officials assured their British counterparts that they share their concerns about the policy of Benjamin Netanyahu's government toward the West Bank.
In turn, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that he was aware of the British authorities' decision, but did not condemn these actions.
"We share the goal of ensuring stability. We do not want to see a surge in violence or tension in the West Bank at this difficult time for the region," Rubio noted.
