Trump believes the United States has enough Venezuelan oil for 500 years
As a result of an energy deal with Venezuela, the United States has gained access to oil reserves that will last for 500 years.
This was stated by American leader Donald Trump.
"Let's talk about oil. We are the largest [oil producer] in the world even without taking into account Venezuela, which we recently added to our reserves. This is the largest oil deal and probably the largest deal in the history of our country. 65 billion barrels are ours, and do you know what that means? That's for a lifetime, 500 years," he said, speaking Wednesday evening in Dallas at the national convention of the ruling Republican Party, which is being held ahead of the November midterm elections to the U.S. Congress.
According to Trump, Washington has built "excellent relations" with Caracas.
