Pashinyan: Demands over Kyarki could provoke war

Those who declare that handing Kyarki over to Azerbaijan is unacceptable are provoking war.

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a briefing.

«The second question is how this problem will be resolved. Recording the facts is one thing, but finding solutions on the ground is quite another. At the moment there is no agreement and there never was one. Right now our task is to eliminate the «nervous mood» created around this issue in order to reach normal solutions.

I see that this is an issue around which an escalation could take shape, but I am speaking about it in advance so that this does not happen», the prime minister stated.

In conclusion, Pashinyan emphasized that the government's position is that the settlement of Tigranashen (Kyarki) in the Ararat Province has existed and will continue to exist, however the question of its borders and exact location remains a separate matter.
