Ambassador: Belarus-Azerbaijan inter-foreign ministry consultations covered a wide range
The consultations between the foreign ministries of Belarus and Azerbaijan covered the entire spectrum of bilateral relations.
Dmitry Pinevich, the Ambassador of Belarus to Azerbaijan, who is visiting the Karabakh region as part of a delegation of the foreign diplomatic corps, stated this to Report.
According to him, the consultations discussed trade and economic cooperation, educational and cultural projects, interaction in the field of sports, and other areas.
"In fact, the inter-foreign ministry consultations covered the entire spectrum of our relations — trade and economic relations, educational projects, culture, sports. The entire spectrum of our relations was subjected to a good, productive conversation and discussion," the diplomat noted.
He emphasized that, following the consultations, the parties confirmed the previously outlined projects, as well as their mutual interest in and support for each other on international platforms.
Dmitry Pinevich also reported on the planned mutual participation of the two countries in international events and exhibitions.
According to him, the Belarusian delegation will take part in the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia, which will be held in Baku in October. Azerbaijan, in turn, will take part in the "Vinoprom" exhibition in Belarus.
The ambassador noted that the countries will also continue their mutual participation in exhibition events.
Touching upon the next round of interagency consultations, Pinevich reported that a plan for consultations in various areas will be drawn up.
"These are global consultations, consultations in certain sectors, and such consultations will be held annually. They have been held before as well," he said.
The diplomat added that contacts between the foreign policy agencies of the two countries continue regularly, including at the level of ministers and deputy foreign ministers.
