Trump says he would like to see Ireland united
U.S. President Donald Trump said he would like to see the Republic of Ireland united with Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom.
"I don't want to create problems, but I would like to see it united," the American leader said at a meeting with Irish Prime Minister Micheál Martin in Dublin. He expressed the opinion that the unification process "will happen over time."
Trump added that "Great Britain, of course, will have its own opinion on this matter." "But in my view, it would be wonderful. How could that be bad?" he said.
