Putin calls the UN Charter a key source of international law
The UN Charter remains a key source of international law.
This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at the BRICS summit in India.
"The entire system of international relations is failing. The effectiveness of a number of multilateral structures and institutions is declining. With this in mind, Russia attaches exceptionally great importance to preserving and strengthening the central role of the United Nations in world affairs. Its charter is a key source of international law," the Russian leader said.
