Diplomatic corps' visit to Karabakh and East Zangezur concludes

The two-day visit of representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan to Karabakh and East Zangezur has concluded.

As Report's correspondent from Karabakh informs, on the second day of the visit the diplomats visited the Gandzasar monastery complex located near the village of Vangli in the Aghdara district, and then the Khudavang monastery complex in the village of Vang in the Kalbajar district.

The representatives of the diplomatic corps were provided with information about the history and architectural features of the monastery complexes, as well as about cases of interference, alterations, and falsification of the monuments. Afterwards, the guests toured the grounds of the complexes.

As part of the visit, the diplomats and military attachés also familiarized themselves with the operations of the "Istisu" mineral water bottling plant.

The representatives of the diplomatic corps then took part in the Honey Festival held in Kalbajar.

It should be noted that this was the 22nd visit of foreign diplomats to Azerbaijan's territories liberated from occupation.

Regular visits by diplomats allow them to see firsthand the results of the construction and restoration work being carried out in Karabakh and East Zangezur, the socioeconomic development of the region, as well as the work to preserve historical and cultural heritage.
