Sam Altman acknowledged the possibility of an AI beyond human control

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman acknowledged the possible emergence of an artificial intelligence beyond human control, but stressed that this should not be pursued.

Altman noted that the heads of the largest American AI companies will be able to reach an agreement on regulating the pace of technological development, and such discussions are already being held privately. Earlier, a proposal by Anthropic head Dario Amodei for a coordinated slowdown in the development of the most powerful models was supported by Sam Altman and American entrepreneur Elon Musk.
