Religious leaders of OTS member states address President Ilham Aliyev
Members of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) have addressed President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
As Trend reports, the address expresses deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for the attention and support thanks to which the VII meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the OTS, being held in Baku, as well as the First International Scientific and Practical Conference dedicated to the outstanding Azerbaijani scholar and thinker Sheikh Seyid Yahya Bakuvi, were organized at a high level.
The religious leaders highly appreciated Azerbaijan's model of multiculturalism and tolerance, as well as the country's role in promoting interfaith understanding and inter-civilizational cooperation. The address emphasized the special significance of President Ilham Aliyev's initiatives aimed at developing interreligious and intercultural dialogue.
The members of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the OTS also highly appreciated Azerbaijan's achievements, the restoration and construction work being carried out in Karabakh, the Great Return process, as well as the strengthening of spiritual solidarity with the countries of the Turkic world.
It should be noted that the VII meeting of the heads of Muslim religious administrations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) is being held in Baku.
The VII meeting of the Council of Heads of Muslim Religious Administrations of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States is attended by heads of religious institutions of Azerbaijan, Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
In total, the event is attended by state, scientific and religious figures representing 40 countries and 15 international organizations. The Baku Declaration was adopted within the framework of the meeting.
