Speaker of the Pan-African Parliament to pay an official visit to Azerbaijan
Speaker of the Pan-African Parliament Fateh Boutbig will lead a delegation that will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan on September 16–18.
This was stated on the Pan-African Parliament's page on the social network X.
It is noted that the visit will take place at the invitation of the Speaker of Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis, Sahiba Gafarova.
"The visit follows Speaker Gafarova's participation in the first ordinary session of the seventh legislature of the Pan-African Parliament and reflects the mutual desire to strengthen inter-parliamentary ties between African countries and Azerbaijan," the statement says.
The delegation will include members of the Bureau and the chair of the Northern Caucus of the Pan-African Parliament.
During the talks, the parties plan to discuss issues of mutual interest, parliamentary diplomacy, South–South cooperation, as well as opportunities for further strengthening institutional ties between the Pan-African Parliament and Azerbaijan's Milli Majlis.
