OpenAI will demonstrate a humanoid robot for the first time
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman said the company plans to present an impressive demonstration of a humanoid robot in 2027.
As 1news.az reports, S. Altman said this in an interview with the Fortune YouTube channel.
«I think in 2027 we will have a cool demonstration — a really great demonstration», the head of OpenAI said.
At the same time, S. Altman noted that he does not expect humanoid robots to appear on the streets anytime soon. According to him, it may take several more years before such machines begin to be widely used in everyday life.
OpenAI has not yet disclosed detailed specifications of the future robot and has not said what exactly tasks it will be able to perform.
In the same interview, Altman stated that OpenAI does not plan to hold an IPO (an initial public offering of the company's shares on the stock exchange) in 2026 — according to him, the company is not yet ready to go public and will consider this issue later.
