Baku to discuss protection of historical and religious monuments
A conference titled "Protection of Historical and Religious Monuments: Challenges and Prospects" will be held in Baku on September 17.
As the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations told Report, the event is being organized by the Ministry of Culture and the State Committee for Work with Religious Organizations.
The conference will be attended by representatives of state agencies, members of the Milli Majlis, scholars, specialists in the field, and members of the public.
Participants will discuss modern approaches to the protection and restoration of religious and cultural heritage, the role of religious communities in preserving it, as well as the significance of religious and architectural monuments being restored in the territories liberated from occupation for the urban environment.
Within the framework of the conference, panel sessions will also be held on the topics "Protection of Cultural and Religious Heritage: Law, Practice and Opportunities" and "The Significance of Historical and Religious Sites in Promoting the Traditions of Tolerance and Multiculturalism."
