192 names we will not forget: photographs of the martyrs of September 19-20
Today, recalling the events of September 2023, it is above all necessary to remember those who gave their lives for their Homeland.
The anti-terrorist operation carried out on September 19-20, 2023, became an important stage in the restoration of Azerbaijan's territorial integrity. After it, the peace process gained new momentum, and on August 8, 2025, in Washington, Azerbaijan and Armenia initialed the text of a peace agreement.
The path to peace was not easy. Baku has repeatedly emphasized that it was precisely the restoration of territorial integrity and the end of the many-year conflict that created the necessary conditions for the transition to a full-fledged peace dialogue.
On September 19-20, 2023, during the local anti-terrorist measures, 192 Azerbaijani servicemen were killed — 180 servicemen of the Ministry of Defense and 12 servicemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Today we remember those who gave their lives for the Homeland. We present photographs of the 192 martyrs who died in those days.
The memory of each of them will forever remain part of Azerbaijan's history.
