Azerbaijan's national soccer team squad and the schedule of upcoming matches
Azerbaijan national soccer team head coach Aykhan Abbasov has announced the squad for the upcoming matches.
The team faces an intense stretch — four games in 12 days, the results of which will largely determine its position in the UEFA Nations League.
As 1news.az reports, on September 23 the "milli" will play a home friendly against Tajikistan, after which it will continue its Nations League campaign: on September 27 it will play away against Lithuania, on October 1 it will host Liechtenstein, and on October 4 it will once again face the Lithuanians.
Aykhan Abbasov has called up 30 players to the national team:
Goalkeepers: Aydin Bayramov (Zira), Ravan Mirzamedov (Sabah), Emil Balayev (Neftchi).
Defenders: Badavi Huseynov, Elvin Badalov, Murad Khachayev, Rufat Abbasov (all — Neftchi), Jalal Huseynov (Petrolul, Romania), Anton Krivotsyuk (Daejeon Hana Citizen, South Korea), Rahil Mammadov (Turan Tovuz), Rahman Dashdemirov, Tellur Mutallimov (both — Sabah), Toral Bayramov (Bursaspor, Turkey), Jeyhun Nuriyev (Araz-Nakhchivan), Edgar Adylkhanov (Shamakhi).
