Jeyhun Bayramov meets with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

The press service of Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry reported this on the social network X.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the bilateral and multilateral agenda, as well as on regional processes.

The ministers emphasized the importance of ongoing high-level contacts, mutual respect, and good-neighborly relations.

The meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran held in Bishkek in August 2026 was noted as another important step toward expanding bilateral cooperation.

The importance of diplomacy and dialogue, and of promoting peace and stability, was also emphasized. The parties discussed issues of regional security.
