Ilham Aliyev congratulated King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia on the occasion of September 23 — the Day of the Proclamation of the Kingdom.

The message reads:
"Your Majesty,
Dear brother,
On my own behalf and on behalf of the people of Azerbaijan, I am pleased to extend to you and, in your person, to all your people my warmest congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of September 23 — the Day of the Proclamation of the Kingdom.
We are pleased with the dynamic and steady development of interstate relations and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Saudi Arabia, based on common spiritual values, religious and cultural roots, and traditional friendship and brotherhood.
We attach great importance to the comprehensive development of our relations based on mutual trust and support. Today, our cooperation in a number of areas serves the interests of our countries and peoples, bringing them closer to each other. Our partnership with your country's leading company, ACWA Power, in the field of energy, including alternative and renewable energy, which is one of the priority areas of our cooperation, is expanding and acquiring new substance every year.
I would like to particularly emphasize our fruitful cooperation and mutual support within international organizations, in particular the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Undoubtedly, a favorable basis for all of this has been formed by the active political dialogue at the highest level.
