Trump allows for the possibility of selling weapons to China

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that he considers a possible sale of American weapons to China a "good idea," but noted that he had not proposed such a deal to Beijing.

Earlier, U.S. Ambassador to China David Perdue said on Fox News that Trump had asked Chinese President Xi Jinping whether he would ever like to purchase American weapons.

Commenting on this statement, Trump said that he had never heard about it and had not asked Xi Jinping such a question. At the same time, the American president noted that China may be interested in buying American weapons, since the United States produces high-quality weapons. According to him, no discussions of such a deal had been held between the parties.
