Vessel catches fire after being struck in the Strait of Hormuz

A merchant vessel was struck and caught fire while passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

This was reported by the Iranian agency Fars, citing the maritime security company Ambrey.

The incident occurred on the southern route of the strait, north of the city of Khasab in Oman.
