Pakistan sees progress in U.S.-Iran talks

Pakistan's Ambassador to Moscow Faisal Niaz Tirmizi stated that a certain amount of progress is being observed in the dialogue between the United States and Iran.

"Yes, there is some progress, because that is what diplomacy is for. We always keep the channels of communication open between all parties, that is why Pakistan is an honest mediator between the two countries. For the sake of peace and stability in the Middle East," he said.

Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump reported that Washington and Tehran had held new contacts through intermediaries.
