Russian embassy suggests nuclear response if Kaliningrad is isolated

Russia is ready to use its entire arsenal to defend the Kaliningrad region, the Russian embassy in Ireland stated.

Moscow has repeatedly stated that it has no intention of attacking Europe and no motives for doing so

If NATO attempts to isolate the Kaliningrad region from the rest of Russia's territory, the country will be ready to use its entire arsenal, according to a statement by the Russian embassy in Ireland published on its Telegram channel.

"Russia will be ready to use its entire arsenal, including nuclear weapons, to defend its territory if NATO countries attempt to isolate the Kaliningrad region from the rest of the country," the statement says.

The publication also mentions information received about NATO's preparations for an air and sea blockade of Kaliningrad. "In such a scenario, the risk of an armed clash is high, and there is a likelihood that Russia would carry out preemptive strikes on decision-making centers in the Alliance's countries at an early stage of the conflict," the embassy stated.
