Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense of Georgia Irakli Chikovani is on an official visit to Azerbaijan to take part in the 13th trilateral meeting of the defense ministers of Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Türkiye.

As AZERTAC reports, on October 2, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with his Georgian counterpart in the cultural capital of our country — the city of Shusha.

During the meeting, it was particularly emphasized that military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Georgia makes a valuable contribution to ensuring peace, stability, and security in the region.

It was noted that regular bilateral meetings in various formats and mutual visits are a clear testament to the high level of cooperation both in the defense sphere and in other areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, a thorough exchange of views was held on the prospects for military cooperation, on issues of increasing the intensity of joint exercises, and on other issues of mutual interest.
