On October 2, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, met with the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye, Yaşar Güler, who is on an official visit to our country.
As AZERTAC reports, at the meeting held in Azerbaijan's cultural capital, the city of Shusha, it was noted that relations between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, based on the bonds of brotherhood and strategic alliance, are developing dynamically in all areas, including the military sphere.
It was particularly emphasized that the expansion of the scope of military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye is under the constant supervision of the heads of state.
The defense ministers noted the importance of the joint military exercises "Strength of Unity – 2026" and similar meetings, expressing confidence in the successful continuation of the established partnership.
At the bilateral meeting, issues of cooperation in the military, military-technical, and military-educational fields, as well as ways to ensure regional security and sustainable peace in the region, were discussed.
