On September 22, the exhibition “Treasures Behind the Doors of Anatolia” opened at the Turkish House in New York City, USA, on the initiative of First Lady of Türkiye Emine Erdoğan.
According to AZERTAC, the exhibition was attended by the founder and head of the IDEA Public Association, Leyla Aliyeva, and Arzu Aliyeva.
The aim of the exhibition, which features works of art and handicrafts of ancient civilizations, is to promote Anatolian culture and encourage intercultural dialogue.
First Lady of Türkiye Emine Erdoğan stated that this event, while revealing the subtleties of Anatolian culture deeply rooted in history, also demonstrates the necessity of studying the millennia-old knowledge and skills of the Anatolian people even in the modern era.
Emine Erdoğan emphasized that the “Zero Waste” principle, aimed at environmental protection, is not only a priority in today’s Anatolian geography but was also a guiding principle in ancient times.
The exhibition covers three main themes: “Fertility of the Land,” “Culinary Heritage,” and “Skill of the Hands,” dedicated to the rich diversity of Anatolia’s production.
