Iran Declares Readiness for Long-Term Defense
Tehran intends to utilize all available resources to protect its territories and population, without limiting itself to any specific timeframe.
This was stated by Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi in an interview with the television network CNN.
Responding to a question about how long the country could withstand strikes that, according to U.S. President Donald Trump, may last more than a month, the diplomat emphasized the republic's determination.
"We will defend ourselves to the best of our abilities. And I mean that time is not a decisive factor. We will do everything necessary to protect our sovereignty and our people, no matter what," Takht-Ravanchi stated.
