Pahlavi Declares He Will Not Seek Official Positions in Iran

The son of the deposed Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, has stated that he will not seek official positions in the country. He made this announcement in an interview with 60 Minutes.

"They trust me as a transitional leader. Not as a future king or president," Reza Pahlavi noted. He also emphasized the strategic importance of close ties with Israel. He referred to U.S. President Donald Trump as "the most celebrated foreign leader."

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a military operation against Iran. During the strikes, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed. In response, the Islamic Republic attacked American military bases in countries of the Persian Gulf.
