Dubai International Airport Suspends Operations After Drone Strike
Dubai International Airport has suspended operations for an indefinite period amid the activation of air defense systems.
This was announced by the press service of the emirate's government, as cited by RIA Novosti.
"In order to ensure the safety of passengers, airport staff, and airline crews, operations at Dubai International Airport (DXB) have been temporarily suspended," the statement said.
The Times of Israel earlier reported that two explosions were heard in Dubai. Following this, local authorities reported a "minor incident" caused by debris from downed drones. The consequences of the "incident" have been addressed, though specific details were not provided.
Prior to this, it was reported that residents of Dubai received alerts on their phones about a possible missile attack. Authorities urged people to immediately seek shelter in the nearest safe building and to stay away from windows, doors, and open spaces.
