Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense Strongly Condemns Another Missile Launch on Turkish Territory
The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan has strongly condemned the latest missile launch on the territory of brotherly Turkey.
"We strongly condemn the latest missile launch on the territory of brotherly Turkey. This is a gross violation of sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Such actions represent an unacceptable escalation and a direct threat to regional stability.
We once again declare our solidarity with brotherly Turkey," the statement from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan reads.
As a reminder, the Ministry of National Defense of Turkey stated today that a ballistic missile launched from Iran and entering Turkish airspace was neutralized. "The ballistic missile, launched from Iran and violating Turkish airspace, was neutralized by NATO air and missile defense elements located in the Eastern Mediterranean," the statement from the agency said.
"Negotiations are underway with the relevant country to clarify all circumstances of the incident. All events in the region are being closely monitored and assessed with priority on our national security," it noted.
The Ministry also emphasizes that all necessary measures against any threats to Turkey's territory and airspace are taken decisively and without hesitation, and this will continue to be the case.
This is already the third incident since March 4, when NATO forces shot down the first ballistic missile launched from Iranian territory and directed toward Turkey's borders.
