Verdict Announced in Baku on Case of March with USSR Flag
A court session was held regarding the criminal case of Abdulla Ibrahimli, Ibrahim Asadli, Elchin Bayramli, and Mehman Zeynalov, who are accused of organizing a march with USSR flags to promote communist ideology.
As reported by APA, during the session at the Nizami District Court under the chairmanship of Aynur Aliyeva, the indictment was read out.
The accused did not plead guilty to the charges in the investigated criminal case. The start of the judicial investigation was announced.
Subsequently, the accused Ibrahim Asadli gave testimony.
The next court session is scheduled for April 6.
As a reminder, last November, videos circulated on social media showing a group of individuals attempting to hold a march with USSR flags to promote communist ideology.
As a result of measures taken by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the organizers—Abdulla Ibrahimli, Ibrahim Asadli, and other participants in the action—were identified and detained, and a criminal case was initiated against them under Article 233.
