Ilham Aliyev congratulates Shehbaz Sharif on Pakistan Day

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev congratulated the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, on the occasion of the national holiday.

In the message from the head of state, it is stated:

“I am pleased to convey to you and your fraternal people, on behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, the most sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of March 23 – Pakistan Day.

Today, Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations, rooted in the will of our fraternal peoples connected by deep historical ties and shared religious and spiritual values, are at a high level. Regular mutual visits at the highest level, our close contacts, and active dialogue between us provide significant impetus to strengthening interstate relations in all areas, as well as realizing new partnership opportunities both bilaterally and multilaterally. In this context, I would like to particularly note your visits to our country last year.

The relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan have a multifaceted agenda of cooperation.

The mutually beneficial interaction between our countries in political, economic, trade, industrial, energy, transport-logistics, defense, investment, humanitarian, and other fields is enriched with new content every day. The opening of the first ASAN xidmət center in Islamabad some time ago is another practical result of our extensive interstate cooperation. The successes we have achieved in a short period based on bilateral cooperation contribute to the well-being and prosperity of our peoples and to collaboration in our region.

The cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan, based on mutual trust and support, continues successfully on a multilateral level as well. Our shared views on regional and global issues and mutual support within international organizations are clear examples of Azerbaijani-Pakistani brotherhood and solidarity.

I highly value the determination and persistence you consistently demonstrate for the further strengthening and deepening of our interstate relations and strategic partnership.

I am confident that the Azerbaijani-Pakistani strategic partnership, fully aligned with the common interests of our peoples, will continue to strengthen and deepen through our joint determined efforts.
