State agencies of Azerbaijan urge citizens to be vigilant after incident in Aghdam
On March 26, 2026, a mine incident occurred in the territory of the liberated village of Yusifjanly in the Aghdam district.
As reported by 1news.az, this was stated in a joint statement from the press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the General Prosecutor's Office, and the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA).
It is reported that a resident of Yusifjanly village in the Aghdam district, Abbasov Jayhun Firdovsi oglu, born in 1985, sustained an injury to his left leg as a result of stepping on an anti-personnel mine in an uncleared section of the former line of contact.
An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Aghdam district prosecutor's office.
ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the General Prosecutor's Office once again urge citizens to adhere to safety rules, pay attention to mine hazard signs, avoid entering unfamiliar territories, and refrain from accessing fenced-off areas.
