Storm warning issued for ships in the Caspian Sea
The State Maritime and Port Agency of Azerbaijan has warned ships of deteriorating weather conditions.
As reported by the agency, according to the warning, starting from the daytime hours of April 5, a northwest and north wind is expected in the Caspian Sea basin, which will persist until the evening of April 6.
During the specified period, wind speeds will reach 18–23 m/s, increasing in some areas to 25–30 m/s, and in the open sea up to 32 m/s.
Wave heights are forecasted to be at 3–4 meters, with a subsequent increase to 4–6 meters.
