On April 8, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yermek Kosherbayev and the Minister of Transport Nurlan Sauranbayev.
As reported by AZERTAC, President Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood. He emphasized that mutual visits by heads of state, discussions held during these visits, decisions made, as well as visits by delegations of various levels from Azerbaijan to Kazakhstan and from Kazakhstan to our country, further bring our peoples and countries closer together and strengthen the potential for interaction.
The head of state expressed hope for the full utilization of the opportunities of the joint investment fund, noted that several projects are already in the development stage, and touched upon the potential of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan in the field of joint investments in third countries.
President Ilham Aliyev expressed confidence that the visit of the Kazakh ministers of foreign affairs and transport to Azerbaijan would be successful.
Expressing gratitude for the reception, the Kazakh Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that it is a great honor for them to meet with the head of our state.
Yermek Kosherbayev conveyed greetings from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to the President of Azerbaijan.
Thanking for the greetings, President Ilham Aliyev asked to convey his greetings to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev as well.
The guest emphasized that President Ilham Aliyev is held in high regard in Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, it was noted with satisfaction that relations between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are successfully developing in many areas, including political, economic, transport, logistics, investment, energy sectors, including the green energy sector, and other directions. The existence of good opportunities for further expansion of cooperation was highlighted.
During the conversation, projects such as the Middle Corridor, the Trans-Caspian Green Energy Corridor, and the fiber-optic line were discussed, within the framework of which successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan is being carried out.
The role of the normalization process of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia and the TRIPP project, which will pass through the territory of Armenia, was noted in terms of regional cooperation and transport connections.
During the meeting, the successful partnership of our countries within international organizations was emphasized, and an exchange of views took place on other issues of mutual interest.
