Washington to host first direct talks between Israel and Lebanon next week
The first direct talks between Israel and Lebanon will begin next week in Washington.

The meeting will take place at the State Department. The American delegation will be led by U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Michelle Issa, the Israeli delegation by Ambassador to Washington Ihyael Leiter, and the Lebanese delegation by Ambassador to Washington Nadia Mouawad.
At the same time, according to Ynet, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he has ordered the start of direct talks with Lebanon "as soon as possible." "The talks will focus on disarming Hezbollah and establishing peaceful relations between Israel and Lebanon," he said.
