Iran threatens to disable US military bases in the Persian Gulf

Iranian military officials stated their readiness to strike American bases in the Persian Gulf region.

As reported by Fox News, the statement was made by Colonel Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the central headquarters of "Khatam al-Anbiya."

According to him, over the past 24 hours the Naval Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) allegedly did not allow any vessels to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

"In the near future, all American military bases in the southern part of the Persian Gulf will be taken out of operation," Zolfaghari stated.

He also noted that Tehran intends to form a "new order" in the region.

Earlier, media reported that the Pentagon has prepared options for strikes on Iran in case of a corresponding decision by US President Donald Trump. According to sources, among possible targets are objects of Iran's energy and infrastructure system.
