AFFA confirms suspension of Turan Tovuz from European cups
The Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA) has confirmed the suspension of the football club Turan Tovuz from participating in UEFA competitions in the 2026/2027 season.
As 1news.az reports, this is stated in an official AFFA statement.
It is noted that UEFA, referring to the decision of the AFFA Disciplinary Committee dated December 13, 2019, to suspend players of the club Turan Tovuz from football for participating in fixed matches, referred the case to the UEFA Appeals Body for a legal assessment of the club's right to participate in the UEFA Conference League of the 2026/2027 season.
By the decision of the UEFA Appeals Body dated June 2, 2026, the club was deprived of the right to participate in this tournament.
