Florentino Perez wins presidential elections in Real for the 8th time
Florentino Perez won the election for president of Madrid's Real, reports El Chiringuito.
The 79-year-old official outpaced his opponent Enrique Riquelme, receiving 64.1% of the votes, and will continue to lead the club until 2030.
It was previously reported that in case of Perez's victory in the elections, Jose Mourinho could become Real's coach. Also, the re-elected president announced the signing of defenders Ibrahima Konate from Liverpool and Denzel Dumfries from Inter.
The official will take this post for the eighth time in a row.
In the past season of the Spanish championship, Real took second place. The gap from the winner of the tournament, Barcelona, was eight points.
