Egypt national team reaches World Cup playoffs for the first time after match against Iran

Egypt national team drew with Iran team in the match of the third round of the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The match of group G took place in Seattle (USA) and ended with a score of 1:1.

Mahmoud Saber scored for the Egyptians, Ramin Rezaeian scored for the Iranians. Also in the first half, Iran national team captain Mehdi Taremi did not convert a penalty.
