Rufat Hajialibeyov appointed deputy health minister

By order of President Ilham Aliyev, Rufat Jahangir oglu Hajialibeyov has been appointed deputy minister of health.

This is reported by 1news.az with reference to the Ministry of Health.

It is noted that Rufat Hajialibeyov, who has held the position of advisor to the minister of health on health digitalization issues since July 2022, during this period led the development and implementation of the national strategy for electronic health of the country, as well as ensured the coordination of the digital transformation process of the health system. As deputy minister of health, his activities will include the introduction of innovations, strategic management, digitalization of health care, and medical statistics.

Along with his main activities, Rufat Hajialibeyov takes an active part in the development of the business and academic environment in the field of digitalization in Azerbaijan. He was a member of the Expert Commission for the Development of Innovative Startups under KOBİA (Small and Medium Business Development Agency). Since 2017, he has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Baku Engineering University.

For his contribution to the development of information technologies in Azerbaijan, by order of the President of the country in 2021, Rufat Hajialibeyov was awarded the "Tereggi" ("Progress") medal.
