Iran threatens to destroy all US infrastructure in the region
A representative of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC, elite units of the Iranian Armed Forces) stated that if the threats of US President Donald Trump to strike Iranian infrastructure are carried out, the country's armed forces will strike American targets in the region.
"If the threats recently made by the US president to strike the infrastructure of the Islamic Republic of Iran by the army of that country are carried out, then everything that still remains untouched thanks to Iran's restraint, that is, all infrastructure in the region, will be destroyed by powerful strikes of the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, so that no trace of it will remain, as if it had never existed," the statement from the army press service reads, the content of which is reported by the Iranian news agency Fars.
According to the text of the statement, the Strait of Hormuz is a red line for Iran, and the country will not allow US interference in its management.
Earlier, Trump issued threats to destroy Iran's infrastructure but stated he was inclined toward a deal.
