Today during the daytime, a fire broke out on the territory of the Imam Reza mausoleum, located in the Iranian city of Mashhad, where the former Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei is buried.

According to the information received, the source of the fire was in a bitumen workshop located within the territory of the complex. Fire crews from the mausoleum, as well as fire service teams from the city of Mashhad, were promptly dispatched to the scene of the incident. The flames were localized and extinguished in the shortest possible time.
Despite the dense smoke recorded on the territory of the complex, the fire did not spread to other objects of the mausoleum. According to preliminary data, no one was injured as a result of the incident.
