Hackers hacked Kenyan President William Ruto's website and demand ransom
Hackers hacked the website of Kenyan President William Ruto and demand a ransom of five bitcoins - $319,000.
This is reported by Kenyans.co.
On the main page, instead of official information, there appeared a "derogatory publication directed against the head of state," as well as the address of a cryptocurrency wallet and a demand for payment. The hackers threaten to disclose some information if their demands are not met by 18:00.
"This is the third message for you before we disclose all information about you. Transfer 5 bitcoins to our bitcoin wallet," the hackers' message reads.
The publication states that the authorities have acknowledged the fact of the hack and stated that the information and communication technology team is handling the issue.
