Incident in Georgia: beating of a woman for 'Russian speech' or a domestic conflict? - video
A video is going viral on social media in which, at the entrance to a hotel room in one of the hotels in Kakheti (Georgia), a man, after a brief argument, punches a woman with his fist.
In her post, the victim linked the incident to the fact that “her company was speaking Russian,” — and this wording is used in the headline.
But under the publication, a demonstrative discussion unfolded. A number of commentators — including those who present themselves as Georgians — dispute this presentation.
According to them, the reason was a domestic conflict around a wedding: guests were allegedly doused with water from the balcony, and the “linguistic” motive appeared later, in the victim’s post.
The victim, in turn, insists on her version.
At the same time, almost all sides agree on one thing: the blow to the woman has no justification, no matter who the attacker was and what preceded the conflict.
It is noted that it was not possible to establish the details of this story — news agencies and sites have practically not covered it at the moment.
